Michael Jordan
Michael originally hails from the Pacific Northwest in the USA. He studied Life Sciences at the University of Portland and began to appreciate craft brewing during his college days in Portland, Oregon. Michael began homebrewing in 1993 and then made the jump to professional brewing in 1995. He has worked for many different breweries in Portland including a Lead Brewer position with Widmer Brothers Brewing. In 2008 he ventured away from Oregon to work abroad in Denmark. His role of Brewmaster with Bryggeriet S.C. Fuglsang also involved quality control work for their malting facility. This provided him with some additional experience in understanding the production of brewing raw materials. Michael moved to Shanghai in November 2010 and is very excited about Boxing Cat Brewery and providing fresh craft beer in China. Michael also holds the prestigious Diploma Brewer qualification from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling in London. He enjoys craft brewing very much and enjoys spreading the craft beer revolution. He hopes to talk beer with you in one of the restaurant locations.
